We are waiting for manuscripts by email: editor.number10@gmail.com

We work directly with authors, without intermediaries and without literary agents.

Of course, if you, as an author, are more comfortable working with an assistant, we are not against it and are happy to have any interaction. But you can send us manuscripts directly to the email address.

What manuscripts are we considering?

We accept manuscripts from newcomers, as well as manuscripts in Russian. If a book has potential, we will translate it ourselves. Manuscripts must be in Russian or English. We do not consider other languages.

We do not publish:

Textbooks for schools and universities

Poetry

Bloody Horror (including works that describe Dr. Mengele’s experiences in World War II, for example. This is not horror in the direct sense of the genre, but we don’t take that. Also outside our format are the adventures and atrocities of all sorts of monsters and zombies)

Sex, pornography (small scenes in the plot are allowed, of course)

Myths, folk legends

We would also like to say something about fantasy. We accept science fiction (example: “The Head of Professor Dowell”), but do not consider fairy tale fiction (example: “The Hobbit”).

Non-book editions (atlases, calendars, etc.)

Requirements for the manuscript

1. Be sure to write a synopsis. This is a summary of the book’s premise, plot, and key events. It is important to briefly describe the characters. Tell us why the work might interest the reader.

2. It should be a completed book, not an idea in several chapters.

3. Proofread the book before sending it out. We will not accept manuscripts with a huge number of errors. Now, there are a lot of programs that allow you to remove errors yourself.

4. Carefully form chapters, subchapters, as well as paragraphs and quotations. Headings should not be written in capital letters. Avoid using headings higher than level 3. Avoid extra spaces.

5. The manuscript must be written in size 12 font, dark gray or black.

6. The book must be sent in one file. That is, if a book has 20 chapters, and they are in different files, this will not work. It needs to be combined into one file. Place everything in one file: table of contents, synopsis, links to resources where the manuscript is already posted, drawings and photos.

7. The manuscript must be in electronic form only, as a file. Materials must be in DOCX format (Microsoft Word). Handwritten manuscripts, printed on paper, or on flash drives are not suitable.

8. If you transferred any types of rights to third parties in this work, or posted the manuscript on Internet resources, be sure to indicate this.

9. The volume of the manuscript should be from 3 to 10 author’s pages. The author’s sheet is 40,000 printable characters, including punctuation, numbers, and spaces. If your manuscript is larger, split it into two books.

10. We do not return or review manuscripts. Review period is up to 10 days.
